Weight update

A friend of mine asked me to checkout his site as he is looking for work. [friends'site here] In that converation, I showed him this site but, I had not written a blog post in over 2 year. So here I am.

In 2023, I wrote an essay about tracking my weight in an app I wrote. [past blog post] I tracked my weight in 2023 and 2024 but didnt really see changes. I could not get out of the 290 lbs range. Around the end of June 2024, I stopped tracking because the testflight build had expired. There is a bug with the graph that keeps me from releasing to public so it's going to stay in testing until then.

I built the app and pushed it to testflight because I wanted to start tracking in 2025. To my suprise, my new weight was 269.4 lbs. I could not belive it. I reweighted myself multiple times just to make sure. As of today, I'm 271lbs. This is not a drill guys! I have lost more than 15 lbs. I still dont belive it to be honest. I do not trust my digital scale at home so I will definatey check with other scales.

Now If I can maintain and even lose more weight that would be great. The change which has contributed the most to my weigth loss has been the removal of bread and other carbs from my diet. Whenever I eat at a burger spot. I only at the protien. I started meal prepping with chipotle chicken and chipotle beef. I get in the occasional veggie but just not eating carbs is a good start.

It felt unfair to not follow up on the weight tracking blog post especially since I wrote that blog post to keep myself accountable.
